DESCRIPTION

This course covers the fundamental concepts of operations management including: productivity, total quality management (TQM), production planning, forecasting, just-in-time systems, inventory management, scheduling, and purchasing and project management.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Understand the basics of data collection and random sampling.
  2. Perform simple and multiple regressions.
  3. Compute basic descriptive statistics.
  4. Construct confidence intervals and apply to a real-world business scenario.
  5. Apply various forecasting techniques.
  6. Understand hypothesis testing.
