Dr. Doug Roberts has over thirty years of experience in the public and private telecommunications industry, having held mid-management and technical positions with several large municipal government IT organizations in Southern California. He also has approximately fifteen years of experience owning and operating his own telecommunications company. His research interests are in organizational management with emphasis on technology management in municipal government organizations. Some of the specific areas of interest include convergence of technologies, public safety communications networks, and expanding the functionality of RF interoperability networks beyond political and national borders. Dr. Roberts holds a PhD. in Organization and Management from Capella University, a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
