Ime Ekpenyong was born in Harlem, NY on November 12, 1977, and at the age of 3, he relocated back to Nigeria. Ime moved back to the US in 1993 to further his education. He has a BSc from the Ohio State University, an MBA from Capital University, and a PhD in Organizational Management from Capella University.
Ime’s professional experience includes over 15 years in the Pharmacy Benefits Management (“PBM”) industry. He is currently a Minority partner, and a Senior VP, of a MI based PBM Corporation. His entrepreneurial achievements include a janitorial firm, a marketing consulting firm dedicated to helping small business start-ups, and Kola Restaurant & Lounge, a Michigan based ethnic restaurant highlighting African/Caribbean food & music. In addition, Ime serves as an Adjunct Faculty professor at University of Riverside, California & Cleary University.
Ime currently serves as the president of the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, Michigan Chapter, and belongs to several Non Profit groups focused on helping improve the lives of people of African & Caribbean decent in the US, and abroad. Ime is blessed with a beautiful wife and 3 handsome boys.
