DESCRIPTION

This course covers such topics as the nature of the entrepreneur, financing and ownership options, marketing, government regulations, taxation, inventory control, and other business functions applicable to the management and ownership of a small business.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To inform students about the fundamentals of starting and managing small businesses and provide them with information to use in deciding if owning or working for a small business is a viable career option.
  2. It should also help students to determine the risks inherent in operating small businesses and how to help ensure the success of a small business organization.
