Dr. Rivas’ higher educational journey started as an international student several years ago when a scholarship was granted on his behalf with the purpose of completing his Bachelor’s degree in the beautiful state of California. Later, he obtained his M.A. degree in Applied Economics in the same beautiful area of the country. After spending almost twenty years in the private sector, he finally found his “calling” in teaching. This calling has permitted him to facilitate online courses (Spanish MBA online and Regular MBA online programs) for the University of Phoenix in the past year. In addition, his educator’s experience has embraced positions as faculty member of Miami Dade College, DeVry University of South Florida, Keiser University and Florida National College, teaching a diverse variety of subjects utilizing (traditional, hybrid & online instructional delivery methods) at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This has been performed with intense passion, and infinite desire leading him to publish his book “A Simplistic Approach to Macroeconomics” with two different editions about this subject matter (economics). As a final note, Dr. Rivas enjoys fostering a pleasant, positive learning environment while having fun, experimenting excitement and extracting the potential of his learners.
